IT’S BEEN A BUSY WEEK! ![]()

The plans were ambitious to say the least… And after a monumental team effort (till 4 am on Tuesday!!!) we managed to do it all (well nearly!!)![]()

The kitchen team were in, shuffling the kitchen around, designing new dishes, cooking them off, tasting (our favourite part) and doing spec sheets.. So we have been able to add:![]()
- A new Vegan Breakfast![]()
- An amazing Bubble and Squeak with, poached eggs, Pancetta, Chorizo, Hollandaise ![]()
- A New Tuna and Red Onion Rarebit ![]()
- A new Steak and Brie Open Sandwich![]()
- A new Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl![]()
- And an unreal Teriyaki Chicken Burger ![]()
- A delicious Vegan Flatbread![]()
- A New Fishfinger sandwich ![]()
- A CLUB sandwich ![]()
- New pancakes ![]()

And that’s just the food.. ![]()

We’ve also stripped out the bar, and replaced all the units to improve storage. Added a 250 ltr Milk fridge, extended the bar by 1.5m to display even more amazing cakes, installed a new top of the range Sanremo Coffee machine, cloaked the bar top in stainless steel, added 20m2 of driftwood cladding, added a boiling water tap to speed up hot drinks. ![]()

And…. Cosmetically done a lot of decoration, we’ve; added a foliage wall in the middle booth, painted the hallway and toilets, painted the staff room, added loads of greenery and wallpapered the smaller toilet… ![]()

We’ve still got to add stainless steel to the back bar and sink area, cloak in the sink end and add drift wood to the hallway..![]()

But that can all be done out of hours without impacting our customers… ![]()

We had a small appliance fire over Christmas, and whilst we were extremely fortunate that the impact was minimal; it was a catalyst to us evaluating everything we offer from the quality of our premises, service, food and coffee. ![]()

Being open 7 days a week can make it difficult to make any changes and keep the premises looking how we want them to without impacting and our customers.![]()

- We have always been proud of the quality of our service. But it can still get better. ![]()

- Our food is great. But it can still get better. ![]()

- Our Coffee is amazing. But it can still get better. ![]()

We are closing on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th, so that we can make some improvements. Our plans are super ambitious, but we hope to have everything done in the two days we’re closed so that we don’t keep you from your favourite Cafe and Coffee shop for longer than is absolutely necessary. ![]()

We are extending the bar, slightly changing the layout and adding new appliances to help get drinks out quicker. ![]()

The bar top will be stainless steel, and the front of the bar will be cladded in fire retardant drift wood to create a more modern look and feel. ![]()

Toilet area:![]()
The toilets will be freshened up with a lick of paint. And the hallway will be painted with one wall cladded in fire retardant drift wood to match the bar. ![]()

Main Cafe:![]()
The main cafe will have a lick of paint, and the booths refreshed. We’ll be adding more greenery to break up the space. ![]()

Food:![]()
Our chefs will be in planning and cooking some new dishes to add to our menu. Hopefully ready to serve from Wednesday next week. ![]()

Coffee:![]()
Our new coffee machine will be installed and our staff retrained to ensure the quality is even better than it is currently. ![]()

Service:![]()
Our staff will undergo additional customer service training to ensure that service gets even better. ![]()

It’s a pretty ambitious undertaking in only two days… so fingers crossed it all goes to plan. ![]()
